Free Meals to School Aged Children

Free Meals to School Aged Children

At this time we want you to be aware that the District will be able to supply supplemental free meals to children under 18 during this initial school site closure.  Initially the meals will be a breakfast and lunch served at Buckeye School of the Arts and Shasta Lake School. Breakfast will be available via drive up line from 7:30 am to 8 am and lunch from 11 :30 to 12 pm. These meals are to help any family and are provided under the SSO program (Seamless Summer Option) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meals may not be consumed on site. Parents/guardians will be given a meal for every school aged child in the car. A student or students could walk up to receive this meal as well.  This meal may differ from your normal breakfast and lunch school menus. The planned serving dates for said meals will begin Wednesday, March 18th. These meals will be served Monday through Friday and continue to during spring break and indefinitely until otherwise noted. Participation levels may dictate the continued service or changing of  one or the other sites and also the breakfast. Additional notification will be relayed if changes are made to this program. Thank you for your time and patience as we all navigate through this difficult time.

This program is made available in conjunction with the California Department of Education and the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA)

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
